How to Embed a Video in the Resilience System

Here are Kathy's instructions for embedding a video in the Resilience System:

Embed Videos

1. Copy the embed code of your video so it is on your browser's clipboard.

The embed code is located somewhere within the video.  To find the embed code, look  for a “Share” button, or “Embed” button.  These buttons will look something like the following . . .

These buttons will vary from video to video, so they will not always be in the same place, nor look the same.  (Some videos do not offer embed code, and therefore you would not be able to embed those videos).

When you locate the embed code, copy the code by using the “Copy” button provided to you in the video, or highlight the code and copy using Ctrl+C

2. Click - Create content

3. Click - Group post
4. Click - Text format / Change to "Unfiltered" (the WYSIWYG editor within the "Body" will change into a plain box, without all the little tools)
After the Input format has been changed to Unfiltered, you can

5. Paste the video embed code into the "Body". Paste the embed code into the “Body” by using Ctrl+V

6.If you want to label the video or say something about it, type or paste in any text desired, and insert "<p>" at the beginning of each paragraph, and "</p>" at the end of each paragraph.  (The paragraph breaks are HTML code that must be used in order to separate your paragraphs when using the unfiltered format.)

Note: When using the unfiltered format it is also necessary to use HTML code to create live links.  The HTML code for creating live links is below . . .

Copy the URL (web address - starts with http…………..) of the page you want to link to.  Paste the URL where all the xxxxxxx’s are.

If you want the live link to state something other than “READ COMPLETE ARTICLE”, then change that text to the text desired.
