Re: [nflracbaycoleadershipcoordination] Census Information for Tracts 002000 and 002200

We are funding our work and we need this info to argue that we are reaching the COVID Vulnerable with our Neighborhood Navigator Team.

COVID-19 in Racial and Ethnic Minority Groups-CDC Guidance

The effects of COVID-19 on the health of racial and ethnic minority groups is still emerging; however, current data suggest a disproportionate burden of illness and death among racial and ethnic minority groups.

Black scientists hope to begin testing antiviral drug for coronavirus in two weeks

Meharry Medical College was founded in 1876 in Nashville, Tennessee, to teach medicine to former enslaved Africans and to serve the underserved. Now, in one of its laboratories, a scientist says he is two weeks away from testing an anti-virus to prevent COVID-19, the disease ravaging many African American communities across the country.

Bay County Branch NAACP COVID-19 Tele-Town Hall Meeting 4.18.2020

Congratulations to all involved with the Tele-Town Hall Meeting yesterday! I thought the presenters were very smooth and professional, and the government officials were responsive.

The Town Hall showed tremendous capacity within the African American community to provide a virtual platform for Whole of Society problem solving. I felt that Janice, and LEAD Coalition more broadly demonstrated competence and capacity in. the way the Zoom call was managed, from invitations to follow up correspondence. It is one thing to be invited to a problem-solving table set by others, and quite another to create your own table, and control the context of the problem-solving dialogue. Congratulations on achieving the latter!
